Pattern Making
An accurate pattern is the foundation of an accurate casting
Every casting starts from a pattern — an exact replica of the required shape, imprinted in sand to form the casting cavity. The pattern's accuracy determines the accuracy of every part cast from it afterwards, which is why we make our patterns in-house: we control the dimensions and the shrinkage factors specific to each material (iron's shrinkage differs from steel's and from copper's), and we shorten your lead time because pattern and casting are in one place.
Determining parting lines, draft angles and core positions if any
Enlarging the pattern dimensions by the shrinkage factor of the material to be cast
Producing the pattern in wood or metal and reviewing its dimensions
Reviewing the first casting against the drawing before approving production
Send the drawing or sample photos — our technical team will review it and reply with a quote.
